Thrift Haul. Chancella Blog.
Updated: Apr 2
I have not posted anything in the past few weeks as I have been busy renovating two rooms at home. I am documenting the changes, as many of the items I’m using to decorate the rooms with are Vintage pieces I have thrifted.
As with most renovations, they can slow down to a halt when you are doing it yourself! It takes that bit longer, so as soon as the rooms or even one of them is finished I will post a blog about it with before and after photos. You can subscribe below and you will be notified when that blog is posted. In the mean time, I thought I would share some of the great pieces I have purchased recently.
I was looking specificly for all of these items. The grey coat especially, I had been hunting for a while as I wanted this type of casual everyday coat. I would have loved a white pair of converse but when I saw these I was thrilled. They look great with black or white jeans in the summer. I could not believe my eyes when I found the leather aviator style jacket. My size and genuine leather! The belt, well what can I say....GUCCI!!
I’m sure I could have bought any of these items brand new at a drop of a hat but when you want don‘t want to contribute to the mass buying of fast fashion, it takes a little more concentration and determination to find what you are looking for.
Below is a selection of photos with a list of the brands, prices and stores I purchased them in.
Jeans- Top Shop, brand new with tags. €7 @ St.Vincent De Paul Charity shop.
Belt- Authentic Gucci. € 1 @ Jack and Jill Charity shop. Grey Coat- Top Shop. € 6 @ St. Vincent De Paul Charity shop.
Shoes- Converse Originals, unused- €12 @ St. Vincent De Paul Charity shop.
Leather Jacket- Wallis, genuine Leather- €10 @ St. Vincent De Paul Charity shop
